The Pennine Way
My first Long Distance Walk. The Pennine Way spans the Pennines from Edale in Derbyshire to Kirk Yetholm in Scotland.
Everytime i look out the window, i feel the urge to go and explore. It’s so easy to feel I have to travel and walk somewhere new, when the paths around me constantly change, and provide new challenges, experiences and memories
My first Long Distance Walk. The Pennine Way spans the Pennines from Edale in Derbyshire to Kirk Yetholm in Scotland.
We thought we would try and squeeze this in an evening walk as we had seen an extended dry period, and the summit is well known for its challenging terrain due to the peat hags and boggy ground.
A surprisingly remote part of the Dales. Much of this walk was via little or no clear path, and we only passed one other person all day.
Our first walk in our challenge to summit all 41 mountains in the Yorkshire Dales.

I started walking again as i approached my 40th birthday. The thrill of reaching the peak of a mountain and the panoramic views is such inspiration. Before i knew it i was walking the Pennine Way, which sparked a whole raft of long distance walks.
With time i hope to capture some of them and share the experience with you.
