Always loved walking, but life took over until my 40th, when I rediscovered the beauty and joy of walking. My first solo walk was Haystacks, and quickly progressed to 2-day hikes before taking on the Pennine Way! I loved it and completed a number of long distance walks. My walking now has the added bonus of being shared with my wife, Nikki, and our dog. Sometimes we are accompanied by other members of our family, which is lovely. I’ve used my walking to raise money for charities, totalling more than £3,000 to date.

About MJS Walking

I started walking again as i approached my 40th birthday. The thrill of reaching the peak of a mountain and the panoramic views is such inspiration. Before i knew it i was walking the Pennine Way, which sparked a whole raft of long distance walks.

With time i hope to capture some of them and share the experience with you.
